Quick Update On Addison and Lillie!!

Addison went to her pediatrician today and he said we are going to do 2 different allergies meds twice a day and breathing treatments 3 times a day for the next 2 weeks then taper off!I will report how it all went to him and he will determine if he can tell what is going on with her!if its allergy's that caused asthma/phamonia then go from there!then he will do a prevention for her before it gets that bad again since we didn't have a clue what was going on!God did though!:)so we have a follow up with her doctor in 2 weeks.

Lillie I told you I would update you on so we ended up canceling her apt to get the g-tube out because I called our insurance and they will not cover her formula if it is not through her g-tube even though she is allergic to dairy and soy! This formula is around 250.00-350.00 dollars a case she drinks 2 cases a month!I decided the wise thing would be to make her a allergy apt with the allergist to get her retested for dairy and soy allergy's before we pull the tube out!I thought maybe she is older and has out grown the allergy! She has a apt April 6 but she probably will not get tested that day only because her allergist will want to take a look at her ext then make a apt for that test to be re done on Lillie. Her doctor did put her back on Prevacid because she was having difficulty swallowing! This is probably from her Acid reflux or her Eosinophilic Esophagitis!or both I have no idea. This means she most likely is still allergic to foods, dairy ext but we will see:) I will keep you updated though.

We Are Home From The Hospital !!

We cant Thank God enough for his faithfulness to see us through yet another unexpected scary medical hospitalization with one of our children! We are not out of the woods yet because they were not 100% sure exactly if it was mostly asthma or pneumonia! They said Addison had the beginning stages of a walking pneumonia and that it flared up a asthma attack! She has a follow up with her pediatrician tomorrow to see what we need to do from here so I will keep you all posted! We are so thankful to everyone that was praying for Addison and our family and for all the concern for our family these last few days! God is so good no matter what we are faced with.Thank you for caring!!We are back to our daily routine and the kids are in bed and Iam praying that they all get a great night sleep and me to as well!!Addison has to still have breathing treatments every 4 hours and has antibiotics for at night for wheezing! I Thank God for watching out for my sweet girl and that I was able to get her to the doctors before something worse had happen to her and couldn't get her breathing back! My sister said she had talked to 2 people and one person knew a 3 year old girl that died from a asthma attack!her parents had token her to the hospital and the doctors couldn't get her breathing back to normal or stable. Another women told Wendy that she knew 2 different children from 2 different homes that died from asthma attack !So we are thankful for Gods Mercy on our family! We continue to trust in him and his will for our families life.

P.S this picture was from last week I promise we were not outside today in this wind!and we wont be for the next week or so lol.

Addison Is Staying Another Night In The Hospital !

Addison needed oxygen while she slept last night thank God it was for only half the night! The x-ray was negative for ammonia so that is a blessing! Addison has been still needing a breathing treatment every 2 hours still! so we will be here for tonight! She is still looking pale and she is still wheezing and is not breathing 100% she has been eating but not as much as she normally does and yesterday she wouldn't eat! by the grace of God they said her wheezing is slowly going down! and she ate a bit more then yesterday so that's good!We also had a crazy night with her machine beeping every time her Oxygen level went below what is unsafe!I tell you this machine wakes you from a dead sleep :) ya and this med for her breathing every 2 hours is making her seriously hyper and she was eating and spilt her drink 3 times and she keeps saying way funny stuff!! I asked the nurse what they were giving her cause she is not my girl I am use to:)they said it is the meds she is being given!she also woke up at 3am last night wide awake and wanted to play and watch cartoons! so she ended up watching a dog show and she totally loved it and fell asleep! We are waiting for her to stop wheezing, and to spread out her breathing treatments out to every 4-6 hours! if she doesn't need oxygen tonite then we have a good chance of coming home tomorrow and if not we will be here for another night!

So other then that we are trusting God with Addison and her condition even though we had no idea we would end up where we were in the hospital! we know that Addison is in Gods hands and we know that the Lord is in complete control of all things and that God only puts things like this in our life for our good and we know this is true and trust him completely.God created Addison and knows what is best for her right now while she is here in this hospital.so we can rest in knowing all these things.

" For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb."

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;my soul knows it very well.

Addison is in the hospital !

This morning while our entire family went to Lillie's occupational therapy because we had missed her speech and occupational therapy yesterday because the night before I had ate something that made me sick and I wasn't sure I felt well enough to take her! So Addison tells daddy and me she was not breathing good and I figured she had asthma or a very bad cold because our son Anthony had a asthma attack last year around the same time this year and I knew some of the symptoms that went with asthma but was not sure that was what was going on so anyway back to my son I ended up calling 911 let me remind you my son had no asthma signs prior and neither has Addison but Anthony was in the hospital for 3 days in may last year! so on our way home I called her paediatrician in Brent wood so that she could be seen! her apt was at 3:30pm it was 10:00am when I called so when we got back home I went to pay bills and pass time away while we waited for her apt! tony had called and said Addison was panicky so I came straight home left to brentwood early we got to Brent wood around 1:30-2:00pm and said she needs to be seen now please!!!!!! So they seen her and did 3 breathing treatments on her and they did not help at all until the last treatment it managed to get her breathing stable long enough to drive her 10 min to the hospital where they admitted and there was a bed ready for her!

The doctor came in and asked a million questions :)and then they took her down for some x-rays to see whats going on with her!we will find out tomorrow what the results are!Addison has thrown up and we have no idea why besides it might be all the stuff going on overwhelmed her! The doctors have been giving her breathing treatments every 2 hours and are going to continue till her breathing is safe.Addison will have to stay another night besides tonight if she uses oxygen tonight while she sleeps! and if she uses oxygen the next night we will be staying again and so on!So we are praying Gods will be done for Addison and she will heal and we will know whats going on with her soon.

I know God is good even in trials I was so blessed when they brought Addison's dinner in her room tonight because not only did they bring her food in they brought me a dinner as well I had said to the nurse"oh you had extra ha ? and she said " no this is for you! we feed the parents breakfast ,lunch and dinner"! Ya and the food had a little real Hawaiian flower in the middle of our food and she said every meal comes with a flower! If you don't already know that cafeteria food can be costly and boy it is!!! we have been in the hospital alot to know what a blessing this is to 1. not leave my child alone to get food and 2. to not have added expenses besides co-pays for hospital stay and the co-pays for mends when we leave as well. So praise God for this blessing!!He is good!!

Another blessing is that my mom and dad took Lillie for us and kawika and Wendy took Anthony for us!We are so thankful for our family and appreciate all they do for us!cause this is not just our journey that the Lord has brought into our lives its our family as well! just like our dads heart surgery and kawika and Wendy's adoption process! the Lord uses all of this to change our hearts and to shape and mold us to be more like his likeness and to glorify him in all that he places into our hearts! So praise God!!

I will blog tomorrow and let you know what is going on with this little precious blessing of a child!!

A little update on Lillie !

Lillie's ankle braces got finished and she has had them for a couple of days now and we have realized she needs all new shoes!because the braces are bigger and need more room which is squeezing her little toes and leaving marks! So I decided the best thing to do is sell Lillies shoes and go through all of our shoes and sell them at the garage sale Iam having at a friends house to marrow, and Iam going to use that money to buy Lillie a couple pair of shoes that make her feet feel much better!Lillie has to wear them 6 hours a day so we are trying to get her use to them first and work her up to those 6 hours.

Lillie had her GI appointment this week and her doctor said that Lillie can have her feeding tube removed THANK YOU GOD she has had this tube since she was 6 months old and she is now 28 months old!! we are praying though because Lillie is allergic to all dairy and cannot have regular milk and she is also allergic to soy milk as well so she has to be on her pregestimil formula!and you see our insurance will not cover her formula unless it is going through her feeding tube because then it is considered a life support type of thing! so please be praying!this coming wed we are taking her to Oakland to get it token out maybe!see Lillie has some tissue growing on the outside of the sight where her tube is in place so her GI doctor carted it before we had left and well that can cause the tube hole to not close all the way and will cause her hole to leak her intake! So her GI doctor said she would take a look on wed to see if the tissue went away and then if it did go away we can take it out other wise she will have to have it stitched up by surgeons :( It sure is harder the older they get when it comes to all this medical stuff!I think its because they know what is going on and that you are taking them ext..

Lillie also went to the audiologist which is a hearing doctor! her speech therapist suggested that she see one only because she said that when she uses head phones on Lillie's ears and the words are being said in her ear she speaks 60% better and she is not sure if it is a attention thing or if it really is a hearing lost of some sort!
So we went today and Lillie sat perfect for the whole thing they did about 4 different test on her and at the end they told me that Lillie is very smart and that these test were apparently boring to Lillie and she simply didn't want to turn and look when she heard the sounds ext!so they said the test showed something in her right ear but to tell for sure we have to WAIT!!6 months when she can do a big girl test!!:) so really I was okay with that I really don't know why Iam okay to wait but that is what my God wants for us so it will be for us some more waiting!!!I know its so crazy we are always WAITING,WAITING AND WAITING it is so awesome to me though cause I know God knows and in his timing we will know!!Iam just so thankful to God for all he has done for Lillie and our family! Its like he gives us new bumps on our journey and its when the others go away we are faced with new ones!It is neat and like his word says he does not give us more then we can handle!but he does give us more then we think we can handle so we are turning to him in the trials he gives us to face .
Iam planing on making a allergist apt for Lillie to possibly get her retested for her allergies to see maybe if some of her allergies have subsided and then that way we might be able to get her off the pregestimil.Otherwise Lillie is growing and is fun to watch grow and best of all she is a happy little stinker at the fun age for mommy and daddy of 2 1/2 :) we all know about that special number 2 lol!!!

Thank You Lord !!! Lillie is 20 lbs FINALLY!!

I took Lillie to her pediatrician Dr.Garcia for her monthly annual weight check, and yes she was 20 pounds! This is very huge for our family because of Lillie's lack of growing, and being in the 3% of kids her age since birth, and she continues to be off the charts as of now! This weight check each month is to make sure Lillie is gaining and not losing weight. About 3 months ago Tony, and I felt that Lillie didn't need to be on the feeding tube at night any more only because her body was telling us that she wasn't gaining any more weight with the tube hooked up as she was in her first 18 months of life when she severely was needing the tube. The doctor agreed that each month we would do a weight check so we could prove to him she could gain weight without it, and that what we were feeding her would be enough for her to gain weight each month. So for the last 3 months Lillie has gained 80z and sometimes more then that each month. The Lord has allowed Lillie to gain the weight he wanted her to gain each month, and the way her Dr wanted her to as well!So we are hopeful that her Gastroenterology appointment this week will go well ,and Dr.Gleghorn will say she doesn't need her tube any more!So we are excited to see what the Lord has planed for this little child of his. I do know I will continue to be thankful no matter what happens! The Lord knows what is best for our family and if it is the best thing for Lillie to have her tube removed then praise God and if is his will for Lillie i to still have this tube still placed in her tummy then I will praise him still!I trust and know he has our best in interest and I may not see that at the time and I may not know what is going on or what the next day holds for me but I do know I love the Lord and I trust him and his plan for Lillie and our families life!!I must say the Lord has given me a peace and joy that only comes from knowing a ALL KNOWING FATHER!!!I know I'm safe in trusting him!!!Not doctors, and surly not myself and my thoughts!I thank God for the time he has given to me with all my children and I thank God for all he has done in our hearts through this journey with Lillie girl.We are so excited to see Lillie grow and gain weight! and Iam so happy she can legally face forward in the car!! yay!!

Hubby's Trip to L.A to Shepherd's Conference !!

What A blessing it was that my husband was able to go to L.A. to the Shepherd's conference this year for the first time!My husband has never attended something this huge and especially not with over 3000 men that attended from many different countries around the world! which was exciting for him.It was a precious 4 days for him and a time of learning about our savior and knowing how to glorify his name in all we say and do in our life as well as how to better lead his family in the way that honors God!! My husband was also able to attend with 3 other men from the church we are from and attend as well as with kawika and this was a blessing he said!!I thank God so much for my husband and to see him grow in God blesses my heart!!I must say this was the longest time away from each other we have been and I am glad that our longest time away from one another was him going to L.A. to this conference! I missed him so much and missed his company but some times being away from one another like we were is where the Lord puts a stronger appreciation for him in my heart!which I thank God for! not that I didn't already you just get use to seeing one another and doing the same thing day in day out that you sometimes forget how much you appreciate him and that's why when he was away it gave me alot more time to say to myself " boy do I miss that man I love and how dear to my heart he truly is".So in saying all of this God is good and I thank God tony was able to see that there are many more men out there that are striving for that #1 goal and that is to be a man who follows Christ and leads his family and points them to Christ in EVERYTHING they do!

We were excited that daddy was coming home from being away for 4 days! so we made him a special banner to welcome him back home! we also wanted to be sure daddy came home to a clean home ! so while daddy was driving home we were at work at home
